Arizona Outpatient Surgery Center (AOS), owned and directed by Dr. Elizabeth McConnell, is an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) currently specializing in outpatient colon, anal and rectal surgeries. The center is conveniently located adjacent to her 16th St. office and includes one operating room and two recovery bays. Located in a Spanish-style building in a quiet neighborhood, the small size of the center lends itself to a cozy, welcoming, yet professional atmosphere.

AOS surgeons and staff aim to serve patients with the highest standard of care in a comfortable and professional atmosphere. The facility is a cost effective alternative for the community and managed care organizations. Patient privacy rights are our utmost concern. Each staff member is trained extensively in all aspects of patient privacy practices and is held to the highest standard of continuous compliance.

The facility has been approved by the Arizona Department of Health Services and Medicare and complies with all State regulations. The staff includes surgeons, anesthesiologists providing Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Registered Nurses Certified First Assistants, medical technicians, and facility administrators.

Tina Acosta
Christina Acosta became the RN Administrator in 2010. She brings with her experience in both adult critical care and pediatric critical care. She has worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center for 21 years and is currently still employed there. Along with her nursing degree, Christina brings with her an MA in HR and Organizational Management and a BA in English Literature.
